G-cardio.net members can search for people, cases, events and institutions and communicate with other members using G-cardio.net E-mail and G-cardio.net Messaging. G-cardio.net members create a profile for display on the site that includes personal information and descriptions determined and edited by the member. G-cardio.net members can edit their profile, hide their profile, and unsubscribe from the service at any time. The services offered by G-cardio.net ("G-cardio.net" or "we") include the G-cardio.net website ("The Website"), the G-cardio.net Instant Messaging, and any other features, content, or applications offered from time to time by G-cardio.net and Cardiology International Ltd. Information collection and use by G-cardio.net
G-cardio.net registration for Individual Members and Corporate Scheme Individual Member pre-registration requires unique identification. Personal e-mail addresses determine this unique identifier and provide both a User ID necessary to log in to the site and a method of communication between G-cardio.net and the member. Members select a nickname for display on their profile and their personal e-mail address remains hidden from other users unless they choose to display it. G-cardio.net understand the annoyance and risks of unsolicited e-mail and Spam e-mail, and have strict policies and procedures in place to avoid this. Personal e-mail addresses and other personal data will not be released to third parties without the express permission of the member subject to the legal requirements identified below. Members and pre-registered members in Corporate Schemes have the opportunity to unsubscribe at any stage whereupon all personal data will be removed. Corporate Scheme member pre-registration requires submission by the Corporate Scheme client of first name, surname and e-mail address to generate a pre-registered member profile. Corporate Scheme clients are provided with an e-mail for all prospective members informing that Corporate Scheme G-cardio.net membership has been provided for them and that their e-mail address will be released for this purpose, and this purpose alone to G-cardio.net. An e-mail address is provided allowing individuals to unsubscribe preventing submission of their e-mail address. Corporate Scheme members may unsubscribe at any time following pre-registration whereupon all personal data and e-mail addresses will be removed. G-cardio.net selects and stores non-personally-identifiable data including IP address, profile information, aggregate user data, and browser type, from members and visitors to the site This data is used to manage the website, track usage and improve the website services. This non-personally-identifiable information may be shared with third parties to improve services to members. User IP addresses are recorded for security and monitoring purposes. Members determine the information including pictures, interests and personal statements that are displayed on their profiles. This information facilitates user interaction in the G-cardio.net community. G-cardio.net E-mail is an internal service that allows communication between members without the need to disclose personal e-mail addresses to one another. Members may wish to disclose personal e-mail addresses to one another but are advised to do so with caution, and at their own risk.From time to time G-cardio.net or a partner may offer a promotion, sweepstake, competition or contest. To participate members may be asked to provide personal information including but not limited to: name, email address and home address, or to answer questions in order to compete. G-cardio.net may transfer personal information to partners that members have explicitly agreed to receive information from. It will be clear at the point of collection who is collecting the personal information and whose privacy statement will apply.
